Out of hours

Experienced GP cover for out of hours and urgent care providers, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Send us the dates and the base and we'll tell you quickly whether we can help.

In hours

Locum sessions for GP practices, usually to cover leave or a gap while someone is recruited. Availability varies through the year, so the earlier you ask, the better.

Teaching, curriculum design, simulation and assessment for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, and advice on technology enhanced learning. Our education work is grounded in day to day practice at a UK medical school, with research interests in virtual patients and self-regulated learning.

We're developing digital learning tools for medical students and doctors in training. Nothing is ready to share yet. When it is, it will be available from this page.

About Sun Bear

Sun Bear Services was set up in 2018 by a GP to provide locum cover for primary care, and has grown to take in medical education and project work. The clinical and education side is led by a GP who also leads clinical skills teaching at a UK medical school. The projects and client side is looked after by a specialist in administration, onboarding and client support. We're based in Syston, Leicestershire.
